Artwork coming soon I promise

Sun Jan 4, 2009, 6:43 PM
Just redesigning the layout of my portfolio and drawing new pieces.Sorry for the lack over the last year or so.Last year was a killer year as I was in the final year of my animation course and had a final year film to write and make.If you're interested in seeing it then head on over to my Youtube channel and it's called 'Moonlight Trickery'.:

I was very lucky to work with a super talented animator called Mark Maniscalchi and we got a good student film out of long hours work and lots of effort.

I also have my own website now at animationblogspot.com:

As well as looking for a job and getting my CV,I have had an offer to set up an animation studio with a friend which we are going to start going about with once we get some more experience and the recession lightens up.I have unpaid work experience at the end of Feb at Bermuda Shorts (They do the advert for Sky with the singing Cat amongst over things) and if I make a good impression they are might ask me back on paid work so fingers crossed.Their website is:

Since graduating,I have taken part in a graduate scheme to try and get a job at Disney (didn't make it this year but they want me to try again in the summer so that's a good sign),I've pitched 2 ideas to Channel 4's animation division 4mations and 1 film short idea to animateTV but alas no luck there but at least it's something to go in the portfolio along with the references from Work Experiences at Collingwood O'Hare Entertainment. In case you are wondering my 4mations profile address is:

So what am I doing at the mo?Well I'm getting ready for the work experience in Feb as well as longing for a job and working on my portfolio.I'm also developing my own pilot idea for a 10 min episode series,a short TV film idea and a joint series development with my friend that wants to start a business up with me.We're going to pitch it to Hit Entertainment first because they expressed an interest in us at our degree show in the summer but we want to get them all developed correctly first.I'm also developing a computer game idea in my spare time as well as learning how to use my recently brought Bamboo graphic tablet and learning Flash.

As well as that one of other friends is very keen on me writing a rock opera type thing which he will write the music for and help animate so there's another project developing maybe. On top of all that My friend who I'm pitching and maybe going to go into business with is also joining me to enroll on this course up in London that we saw in ImagineFX (a very good magazine for artists):

as well as the ten week course in September I think it is.So I'm a bit rushed off my feet as usual but I apologize for the lack of updates but I will upload my portfolio to here as it is done:).Happy New Year to you all!

Hi,

It's cool. You got some amazing artwork. It must take you a fair amount of time to do some of it but the end result is worth it!:)

Wow, you clearly have fine taste in videogames! Ocarina of Time and Sonic the Hedgehog were two huge experiences of my youth... the former is still an outstanding game even by today's technological standards, and the latter (and it's sequel) were two games i was near-to obsessed with back in the day. I sort of lost touch with the franchise when Sonic 3 came out... the magic of the first two wasn't there, in my opinion.

I sort of lost my love for Sonic games after Sonic And Knuckles because they sort of lost the plot but there have been some I've liked.Sonic Adventure was okay (though that's mostly due to the soundtrack for me:) ).I liked the early Sonic DS game too and Sonic Chronicles wasn't too bad.The daytime levels on Sonic Unleashed weren't too bad but there hasn't been a Sonic game I've loved playing since Sonic and Knuckles. It's lost something but I'm not sure what.
Anyways a lot of my fav games come from my childhood so there's a few Game Gear/SNES/ Gameboy/N64/Playstation games in my top fav games ever :)
